Petroiran Development Company (PEDCO) intends to further develop the Salman fields through execution of the Salman Oil and Gas Integrated Development Project. The Salman field is located some 144 Km south of Lavan Island in Iranian waters of Persian Gulf and straddles the Iran-Abu Dhabi border.
The Integrated Development Project foresees the construction of up to seven new platforms at or near the existing Salman complex together with infield pipelines and 220 Km long export gas pipeline to AP Mobarak via Sirri Island compression facilities. Water depth ranges from 20 m to 43.3 m in the Salman area. As part of the field development project 13 Tripods platforms topsides shall be renovated.
This section defines the scope of work for the modification of the 13 existing tripod wellhead platform topsides to receive new gas lift and oil gathering risers including removal of existing topside piping, implementation of required refurbishments of existing tripod structures, deck extensions and reinforcement of the specified sections for installation of new pipe supports / shut down valves and installation of the new piping manifolds and piping as defined under the scope of work, drawings, specifications and other technical documents.
The scope of work generally comprise of the followings:
Implementation of the required refurbishments of 13 existing tripods structures.
Removal of existing topsides piping for 13 tripods as listed below and installation of new piping manifolds accounting to the drawings attached to this enquiry document. 13 tripods subjected to this contract are: 2S-1/40, 2S-2/43, 2S3/3/44, 2S-6/45, 2S-10/42, 2S11/47, 2S-12/37, 2S13/38, 2S14/41, 2S-15/46, 2S-19/34, 2S-20/33, and 2S-21/35.

Surface preparation and cleaning of Tripod members to receive riser clamps above +4.5 m from sea level.
The new gas lift and oil gathering pipelines will be performed by others and tie-in point of this contract will be at top of jacket riser and all works from tie-in to top of jacket shall be part of this work
Cutting and removal of the existing piping and flanges down stream of the chock valves
Cutting and removal of specified steel structure sections according to the specifications and drawings
Deck extension and reinforcement of the specified sections of the topside platforms as per drawings
Transportation of all debris including the removed pipes and steel structure sections to the dedicated salvage area in the Lavan Island
AMID / SAFF Joint Venture plans to carry out the “Construction Services for Renovation of Tripods Wellhead Platforms Topside” of Salman Offshore facilities Project according to the highest industry standards and to the full satisfaction of the Client.
As the two company possess extensive capabilities and experience in different aspects of execution of offshore projects, they have joined together to complement each other capabilities and resources in order to execute Salman Offshore Platforms Modifications Project successfully.
The Services provided for the project shall consist but is not limited to the following activities:
Review of basic design & surveys
Preparation of the specifications and data sheets for work, equipment and materials which are not included in the free issue materials
Preparation of the fabrication drawings
Providing the design documentation for submission to PEDCO or PEDCO requested third party
Liaison with the vendors and other contractors involved in the PROJECT in order to provide information for proper handling of the PROJECT scope of work
Preparation of the final documentation
Preparation of construction schedule and detailed procedure
Liaison with the administration in charge for preparing well shutdown schedule
Preparation of well shutdown schedule
Preparation of detailed transportation procedures
Preparation of detailed installation procedures
Preparation of hydro-test documents
The project will be managed by a dedicated Project Management Team (PMT) throughout the duration of the project. This team, which consists of experienced and highly qualified personnel, will be appointed at project commencement and will continue its job until the completion of the project.
Within the PMT, the following managers will manage different aspects of the project:
Engineering Manager
Logistic Manager
Planning and Control Manager
Construction Manager
Offshore Operation Manager
HSE, QA/QC Manager
Legal and Control Manager
